Site Logistics Temporary Power

Description:
Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture seeks Trade Subcontractors with significant experience in installation of temporary power skids and associated infrastructure with metering switchgear per PG&E standards on complex projects which present significant coordination with adjacent properties and traffic relocation; located in an urban environment including the engineering, coordination, procurement and complete installation of respective systems. The work to be performed includes but is not limited to the following:

• engineer, design, coordinate and install five temporary power skids and metered switchgear per PG&E standards in preparation of transformer and line power connection
• install on and offsite ground ducts, distribution panel with above grade conduit stub-outs for future connection by other subcontractors
• provide and install protective bollards and fencing at each skid
• provide assistance with power hookup at distribution panels for future site subcontractor
• conduct scheduled maintenance for gear and panels as needed over 1.5 year period
• abandon all gear, materials and installations upon conclusion of scheduled maintenance

A pre-bid conference for Trade Subcontractors interested in submitting bids was held on March 10, 2011 at TJPA offices.  Attendance was optional for Bidders.  A copy of the presentation is below. 

Bidders must be pre-qualified for this package. Currently pre-qualified trade subcontractors for Site Logistics Temporary Power are:

• Sierra Electric
• Reliance Engineering, Inc.
• Phoenix Electric
• Bass Electric
• Liberty Electric of San Mateo, Inc.

Bidders who are not pre-qualified may submit qualification packages to Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture no later than March 25, 2011.  Bids from unqualified bidders at the time of bid opening will be returned unopened. Qualification application documents are posted below.

Funding for this work is provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Federal economic stimulus program; ARRA requirements include providing monthly jobs reports.

However, all contractors are solely responsible for ensuring the receipt of any and all addenda, and should therefore check the website before submitting their Bids to ensure receipt of all addenda, and to ensure their bids respond to any such addenda.
