Description:
Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture seeks responses to an Invitation for Bid from Trade Subcontractors for package TG03 – Buttress, Shoring, Internal Bracing, Access Trestle, Temporary Bridge, Excavation, Demolition, Dewatering, and Micro Piles – on the Transbay Transit Center project in San Francisco, California. Trade Subcontractors should have significant experience with the following:
- deep drilled shafts
- deep excavations with design-build internal bracing
- complex projects in an urban environment with significant coordination with adjacent properties and traffic
Starting July 30, 2010, Bid Plans and Specifications may be purchased via Ford Graphics PlanWell, (415) 537-2200. Other package documents, including the Project Bidding Manual, are posted below.

Bidders must be pre-qualified for this package. Currently pre-qualified bidders are:
- Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc.
- Granite/CJA/NCC Joint Venture
- Kiewit Pacific Co.
- Shimmick/Skanska/Traylor, A Joint Venture
- Tutor-Saliba Corporation
Flatiron West, Inc., while pre-qualified, is conflicted out of bidding on Transbay Transit Center construction packages. Bidders who are not pre-qualified may submit qualification packages to Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture no later than 10 business days prior to the Bid Due Date. Bids from unqualified bidders at the time of bid opening will be returned unopened. Qualification application documents are posted below.
The Bid Due Date has been extended to November 9, 2010. Questions on Bid Documents will not be accepted after 2:00 pm on October 15, 2010.
