Request for Proposals for Personnel and Material Hoists Construction Services

Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture seeks responses to a Request for Proposals (RFP) from Trade Subcontractors interested in submitting a proposal for the Personnel and Material Hoists Construction Services trade package on the contract for the Transbay Transit Center (TTC) Project located in San Francisco, California.

Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture seeks Trade Subcontractors that have significant experience with installing, operating, and maintaining multiple personnel and material hoists on complex projects which present significant coordination with other trade subcontractors; including the engineering, coordination, procurement and complete installation of their respective systems in the following trade:

Trade Subcontractors are required to be a certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) in order to propose for this scope of work. As allowed for under the Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) SBE program, trade package: TG05.3 has an established SBE Utilization Goal of 80%. The TJPA accepts certifications from the following as SBEs: any state’s Unified Certification Program, California Department of General Services, and the San Francisco Human Rights Commission. If the Contractor is unable to meet the SBE Utilization Goal, the Contractor is required to submit sufficient evidence of good faith efforts to meet the goal, in compliance with the TJPA SBE Program. Trade Subcontractors shall submit five (5) hardcopies of the Proposal and one (1) CD with the Proposal in PDF. Proposals must be received by Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture no later than 2:00 pm Pacific time on September 14, 2012 at the following address: Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture; Attn: Jeff Heath; 175 Beale Street; San Francisco, CA 94105. No proposal submissions will be accepted after 2:00 pm on this due date.

Funding for this work is provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA); ARRA requirements include submitting monthly reports of hours/jobs.

Pre-Proposal Conference: A pre-proposal conference for Trade Subcontractors interested in submitting proposals was held on August 16, 2012, at 2:00 pm, at Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture’s project office at 175 Beale Street, San Francisco, CA 94105.
