Millwork (RFQ)

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS: MILLWORK CONSTRUCTION SERVICES PACKAGE

Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from Trade Subcontractors interested in bidding the Millwork Construction Services on the contract for the Transbay Transit Center (TTC) Project located in San Francisco, California, on August 21, 2014.  The RFQ sought Trade Subcontractors that have significant experience with miscellaneous carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, and engineered stone countertops on complex projects. Also included are engineering, coordination, procurement and complete installation of the respective systems in the following trade:

Trade Subcontractors will be required to have second-tier subcontractors in order to meet the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation goals. Second-tier subcontractors did not need to respond to this RFQ, regardless of SBE status. Under the RFQ process, the following firms were pre-qualified to bid the scope of work when contract documents are released:

Contract documents, including plans and specifications, for the project are anticipated to be available for bidding in 2015.  If Webcor/Obayashi Joint Venture chooses to recommend any of TG16.7 Millwork package contract work to the TJPA for its approval, the Trade Subcontractor will be asked to comply with all TJPA contract requirements, including signing a letter of assent to the Transbay Transit Center Project Labor Agreement (PLA) and certifying compliance with federal Buy America regulations.
